Huawei B660 Wireless gateway RED Light issue

Hi,

been using this router Huawei B660 on 8ta ..
then got the adsl and i took sim card out and started using it in my fone as data card..

Now when i insert sim back into that router it always shows RED light on connectivity icon on Router
did reset and restarted many times but same ..
any settings or configuration i need to do kindly help .

does your sim card have a PIN request? if so, i would suggest inserting it into a phone and remove the pin request, other wise, log onto the management console of your router and see if it prompts to enter a pin

Is the correct APN being used? Check the APN profiles and perhaps take it off automatic to force the correct one.

Just like SoulsoftheFaultless said... But instead of inserting into a phone, just connect to the Router Gateway 192.168.1.1 and disable the PIN then reconnect.

It happened to me as well but my problem wasn't the SIM PIN, I had to switch the device to Manual Connection in the Gateway settings and then restart, manually connect, once it connected successfully I switched the settings back to automatic and never had a problem since.

So try my second solution if the PIN is not the problem.

I bought a telkom HUAWEI-E5220 Mobile WIFI it only connects for less than 10 minutes then after it looses network and it won't connect until i remove the battery from the modem. i am really disapointed with this Huawei E5220 modem, please people help me.

Take it back to the shop you bought it from.
