Mostly.
Not fine for 8ta LTE, you need TDD 2300MHz.
Not fine for Cell C 3G, no 900MHz.
Cell C should work with LTE on this device, as Cell C use LTE FDD 2100MHz and modem supports it. However, as I wrote it will not work on 3G, so if any problems with LTE, it would downgrade to 2G (which is terribly slow) or get stuck on 3G confused by Vodacom towers (searching for signal), see threads: full signal, but no data throughput.It shows 900 FDD. won't this work for Cell C?

Re: other offer, it doesn't show full model number, nor frequencies.
Yes, it is. The one selling in TM store.So is there a E3276 capable of all the required frequencies? (except for eMpTyN - don't care for them) ask I will be interested in is VDC and Cell C
Although I don't live within their LTE trial coverage area, Cell-C gave me an E3276 LTE modem. I don't whether this was because of the number of 2GB and 5GB promotional SIM cards I have RICA'd in my name, MDMA, or simply because they were getting tired of me nagging.

The E3276 has two external antenna connectors:

The modem only reports the signal strength from the external antenna connector closest to the USB connector (the right-hand one in the pic above).
I got similar speed test results on Vodacom's UMTS network with my antenna plugged into either connector. It will be interesting to see the results of two antennae or a splitter.

My Cell-C LTE SIM card is not active yet, but I was able to register on their UMTS 900 network using another SIM card. Unfortunately, it had no data on it so I wasn't able to run any speed tests.
The modem came with a crippled version (no USSD, etc.) of Mobile Partner 23. The drivers that were installed would no longer detect my Vodafone K4605 modem, but worked fine with my E1820. I'll either have to find drivers that can identify the Vodafone devices, or flash my K4605 with the E372 firmware.
The modem only appears as a network device to the operating system, so no more dial-up networking connections.
Because of this, the modem currently does not appear to work with MikroTik routers. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
It still has a secondary serial port for diagnostics which can be used for measuring signal strength, sending USSD, etc.
Linux support: see post #11 here.
Unfortunately I am too far out of the coverage area for LTE.Hi Ginggs, are you getting 4g reception even though you are outside the coverage area due to the antennas?
They are CRC-9 connectors, the same as most other Huawei modems. Poynting sell CRC-9 pigtails.Where did you get the connectors/antennas for the E3276 as I can't find them anywhere? Thanks
Poynting sell CRC-9 pigtails.

Whoa - Didn't know about them - Will give them a lookAntronic in Pinetown should have... http://www.antronic.co.za/
Thanks
Good Afternoon Reelix,
Yes, we normally have stock of the CRC-9 'pig-tail', but currently 'fresh-out'! Our last price on the PC is R 110,00 + VAT.
Our new stock will be in +/- 10th January 2014.
Kind regards,
John Crampton. Antronic, New Germany.
Yes, it is. The one selling in TM store.
I think someone posted exact model number, either on this thread or some other.
I got the one from TM, E3276s-920 and it's not compatible with MTN LTE or VC LTE.
3G works fine though.
Afrihost sells an E3276 with the following frequency bands:
2G: 900MHz/1800Mhz
3G: 900MHz/2100MHz
LTE TDD: 2300MHz
LTE FDD: 1800MHz/2600MHz
See more at: http://www.afrihost.com/site/product/mobile_devices?src=website_nav#sthash.A0hQrGOd.dpuf
LTE should work for TM, VC and MTN, but not Cell C.
I think the model number is E3276s-601
So I got the E3276 from Afrihost and received a E3276s-150. It seems to detect TM's LTE network but as I am out of the coverage area at home I have not been able to register on the network. (signal strength is too low)
Going to try an area I know has coverage with my sim and with another TM LTE device and see if the E3276 connects, will keep you updated.
According to Google, the E3276s-150 does not support the TM LTE network:
HUAWEI E3276s-151 and E3276s-150: (Vodafone K5007 and Megafon M150-1)
* 4G LTE FDD (DD800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz)
* 3G UMTS 900/1900/2100MHz
* GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
TM LTE requires TDD 2300MHz. Looks like Afrihost has not sent you the model that matches the specs on their website.
PS: This one will work on TM LTE, but not VC, MTN or Cell C LTEs. I bought one of these. It arrived quickly and also works great in the TP-Link MR3420 V2 router.
Is the E3276 from Afrihost network locked to MTN ?
