I did a project using a generic E220 modem and discovered that the Mobile Connect program sends a 'AT$QCDMG' command on the PC UI com port. I would like to know if anybody has an idea of getting the modem back to a state where the PC UI com port responds to normal AT commands. (Without plugging it out and back in)
Which network are you using and what is your connection type?(Bump...)
Is there any news on new FW for the E620? My FW does not support USSD commands.![]()
From all accounts it should work unless there is still a firmware problem. Try setting it to gprs only before sending the USSD command.Mtn 3g/hsdpa
I could not get USSD to work, even on GPRS only and with MTN SIM; my firmware on MTN E620 is 11.16.08.01.00.
Same firmware, same results.
No, it's usually only for the software.Question:
Will the "Online Update" feature of the MTN dashboard S/W updates the firmware as well, if and when MTN makes updated firmware available?

My guess is they don't think it is worth the trouble to make the existing firmware update available to their customers, perhaps some mass action from E620 owners is required. Keep bugging MTN and Huawei, go to Hello Peter if necessary.Honesly, if mp3-players, dvd-writers and just about any other piece of tech in existence can do it, why cant huawei/mtn?
