Huawei K3765 download speed problem

Lot my moden. Got the Huawei K3765 as a replacement.

Was trying todownload software that was about 180mb in size. Problem is the download speed was at a constant 29.9kb/s:wtf::mad:

This cant be right, that modem was supposed to have HSUPA and HSDPA speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps

That download took almost 2 hours.

Any suggestions on a fix?

Could have been caused by the network being very busy or bad weather. The K3765 does support 7.2, but remember, u need a advanced data bundle to make use of this, otherwise ure default line speed will be 3.6. Also, just bacause the modem and network is capable of 3.6, does not mean you will actually reach those speeds. It depends on a lot of external factors. Have you logged a call regarding this issue with 082155? If so please PM the details to VD so that he can see what BTS you logging onto and check it out for you to see if it is not perhaps a fault on there.
 
Could also be that the server you were downloading the file from was congested?

Like OC mentioned, there are a few factors that play a part with the speed.

Were you connected on 3G or GPRS ? Which light was the modem showing?

I have logged a call and i was told that a poor signal is cause for the slow download speed.

3g I guess.the light was blue the entire time.

The correct term is Cyan hehehe. Cyan means you are on HSDPA 3.6. The other factors then might have had a effect.

Cyna. I stand corrected. But Cyan still means 29.9kb/s :D i cant get over that speed. Worse than those old dial up modems.

I suggest you you contact VD then so he can find out if there is something wrong with the BTS. When is the last time you downloaded? Also, like Iam3G said, could also be that the server the file resides on was congested. Have you tried downloading from other servers etc?

have tried downloading from other sites, never get a constant speed. Even when its files like ebooks.
