If I end up with another bad panel I'll just be ending the contract.

So i started to notice the green haze start to take over my phone today... got it Friday 2nd November. It's the LYA-L29 model. Screen by LG. Guess tomorrow it's calls to both Huawei and Telkom

How can QC be so **** that they don't notice this? I guess at least they're not exploding.

This must be the widest Battery Life test, comparing all the 2018 iPhones, OnePlus 6T, Galaxy S9+, Note9, Pixel 3 XL and Mate 20 Pro, guess what wins

FFFFUUUUUU! You guys are freaking me out. This is me at work, loading up a black screen every 30 minutes and checking my phone.

Good luck, Huawei is very quiet about their farkup, just shows me what sort of company they are, with their back round about fake speed tests, fake photo's etc they are the worst company out there at the moment.
Telkom only has the LG pannel one, so you will be getting another faulty one.

So what conditions need to be met to test this ?
Dark background and dark environment ?
I guess download an app to see whether my manufacturer ?
Use it in a pitch black environment... Make sure the brightness is all the way down, open up your dialer or Netflix app.

Ya bit pissed off mines part of the bad batch, just checked now. Will contact Huawei tomorrow n see what they say. IMG_20181107_191721.jpegIMG_20181107_191710.jpeg

I contacted them today. While they acknowledged they are aware of the issue they wouldn't say what the cause is. They have offered to "repair" my device and I have declined. I believe a 5 day old device should be replaced. I'm sure there is a lot of silence on this matter from official channels, as they are so busy pushing this new phone on the market that they don't want negative publicity. But honestly, customers who already own the device and have this problem, and are not getting the right answers, are going to be a lot worse for the brand than just making an official statement. I'm giving them till lunch time tomorrow to resolve the issue or I'm cancelling my contract within the 7 day period and returning the device

it is unfortunate to know that you are experiencing screen issues. May you DM us your full name and contact details, IMEI number of device, date of purchase and the store the device was purchased at. Then may you please return the device to the place of purchase.

Problem with that response is some of the stores we bought from. Telkom stores do not have twilight colour anymore and to change to black they want me to cancel the whole contract and must reapply. Sounds like a load of S*** to me...
