They did. They talked about HMS instead of GMS and talked about number of apps, developer incentives, marketing incentives etc

The tech in the m30p is so impressive I'd consider it even without the Google license. No volume buttons, just uses gestures to adjust volume. 1.5gbps speed test on a Chinese 5g network. 27 watt wireless charging...

Epic phone but unfortunately without Google services.. well I think it's gonna suffer. E.g in Singapore apps that use them won't function ala Grab (Asia Uber), foodpanda (biggest food delivery service) and many others.

Hopefully it can be side loaded and this is a non problem :D
 
One can really sympathize with hauwei. What a dilemma they find themselves in.

Produce a magnificent handset only to have it severely hamstrung by the trade embargo.

Crying shame.

I can't see consumers buying this in the millions without full Google endorsement.

I was at the event and needed to leave at around 16:20 (after the event), I saw two guys standing at the registration counter as I walked out but didn't think it was to collect anything...

I missed out on the free freelace and I'm kicking myself
