Huawei Mate 7

Wish MTN would pull finger and get these phones in. Been waiting for over a month now.

Even if they do, it will be more expensive than Voda and Cell C. Vodacom and Cell C always have Huawei reps in-store doing demo's with live handsets at MTN on the other hand, it's a dreary tumbleweed scenario.

Choice 100(100min,200sms, 300mb data) @ mtn for the mate7 is R429/month. Where voadcom and CellC give less airtime.

Fair comparison for Vodacom, but at Cell C you are getting the 32GB/3GB dual SIM gold variant. Check the froums - it's like a different phone in terms of performance.

Vodacom is a single sim network re their phones. They hate dual sims, as they want people to make use of their network only. MTN are the same, although in recent times they have opened up a bit more. Cell C is the exception, they on the other hand love the dual sim phones. Probably their strategy to try and get more consumers taking a contract with them.

its the single sim, went to telkom cavendish last night. they have the black and silver editions which is not the dual sim variant, only cell c has that one.

Wife got one of these mate 7's on Monday. Must say it is flippen nice. I should have held out and waited instead of getting the LG G3 Beat.

Told you so.

Well, not really, but it had to be said. Hope the wife manages to find you off long enough to enjoy the new device.

I don't get to use it :( . Pity that one has to install an app to get the data management to be setup. Also during initial install the wallpapers would change once the phone was done. Now I can't find those wallpapers. Will be nice to see how this device runs lollipop 5.1 when it it out.

Yeah I must agree , I'm using the Mate 7 Gold Dual sim as my work device and have no regrets . Honestly the build quality is great and once you get used to the different take on android with their skin it's actually a pleasure . Iv had no lag at all on the device and I actually find that the data signal and reception on this device is better than the Samsung (S5 , Note 3) and LG devices (LG G3) that iv had in the past .

The battery life is also really good and I am a pretty heavy user with constant e mails and browsing throughout the day not to mention calls etc . Lollipop is apparently going to be adding multi windows usage as well which will be great . Honestly this phone changed my entire perception on the Huawei brand . My wife has the G7 at the moment and is getting the P8 now at the end of the month , I'll be interested to see what they have done with it in terms of improvements on the camera . The Mate 7 's camera on a whole is pretty good ,but it's not in the same category as the S6 or G4.

Played with the p8 lite last night. Not to bad, similar spec'd to my LG G3 Beat. I might just sell my Beat when it comes back from repairs(Endless intermittent reboots and battery issue) and get the p8 lite.
