Huawei p1, just got mine.

You can also check for updates using the HiSuite application, some 98MB was downloaded. My backup with HiSuite was totally unnecessary as everything was left intact, even my multiple tabs in Opera mini was restored. Chrome and a backup app showed up in the updates.

Android 4.0.3, don't know what it was before. Still at least it shows that Huawei has some intent in updates. My Samsung Tab 7 plus is still on Android 3.2 although ICS has been released for it for some months.

In which area? Edgars Cresta is out of stock (but it sounded like they were getting more). Edgars Clearwater had some on the 24th. Fourways had some stock a couple of days ago.

I am in Centurion. Tried the local CNAs but they where all out of stock, but will try the Edgars stores also
 
Anyone know where I can get one in Durban?

I've phoned several CNA's and Edgars stores, but they all seem to be sold out.
 
You can get this phone from any edcon store. This will be Edgars,CNA,Jet,JetMart,Legit and Boardmans. The price will be R1999 at all the stores and its only on vodacom. I know edgars and cna gets sold out very very fast. I got mine @ Jet and they still had 5 left so I think thats your best bet.
 
Found one at CNA Galleria. Couldn't find it on CNA's website, but a friend of mine was going there anyway, so I asked him to have a look while he was there. They have a few left.

@cavedog: good point! a bit unusual buying a phone from boardmans though haha.

Really love this phone, seems much more responsive than the S2 i've played around with before. Only thing is it looks like it has a pentile display, but it's not a big issue, the dpi is around 250, so it;s still clear.
 
Yeah, it's a Pentile display which uses less power but it can be grainy when reading small text that's less than 2pt size. The audio and display quality has been improved since yesterday's update.

Yeah you're right, small text is slightly grainy, but android 4 allows you to change the system font size, so I've set it to 'large' and the text looks much better to me now.

Images look amazing - especially the 3rd stock pic in the gallery.

Thanks for reminding me about the system font size. I just changed mine now to large :)

Yeah images and games look amazing on it. This phone can push games that are better than PSP quality :D
 
Thinking about selling mine. Bought it around 2 weeks old from menlyn cna. Still thinking though. Would anyone be interested. Got myself an iPhone 5 on the Cellc special.

I love this phone! Will never go back to blackberry again. Got 3 days battery life with moderate use (email sync every hour, whatsapp running, browsing and a few calls)
