It either crashed on the startup or there are new defaults after update. It is in 'Themes' app, you can restore Vodacom theme.I just restarted my phone, and realised that I no longer have the Vodacom animation screenI now have the stock Huawei start up animation, with the sound too. I just thought it's odd.
No, it's not a theme, and it definitely didn't crash on startup. The startup animation can't be changed with a theme, because it's built into the system. I like it though, because now I get the full Huawei experience, and I very much like the blue bubblesIt either crashed on the startup or there are new defaults after update. Vodacom startup animation is a part of theme. I disabled Vodacom theme with Huawei default during my first hour playing with the phone. No, it's not a theme, and it definitely didn't crash on startup. I'm not referring to the wallpaper or theme, it's the startup / boot animation that plays when you restart your device. It is not part of the theme, so it can't be changed, unless your device is rooted.Vodacom startup animation is a part of theme. BTW, There is a number of beatiful themes on the store. Unfortunately not all conform to the EMUI 8.0 and finding a good one is a matter of a luck.
I can confirm that the last update did indeed remove the Vodacom animation.I'm not referring to the wallpaper or theme, it's the startup / boot animation that plays when you restart your device. It is not part of the theme, so it can't be changed, unless your device is rooted.
Also, the boot animation only changed after I got the update to B371(C02). It must have been an oversight though, because the Mate 10 Pro still has the Vodacom boot screen. I guess I'll wait for the next update to see if it comes back.
Anybody here with this phone had overheating problems? I got a wifi screen mirror thing for the tv a few weeks ago. Now sometimes I can watch for hours without a problem, and other times like today the phone starts overheating after about 15 minutes.
The phone is only a few months old so I'm wondering if I should take it back for a warranty repair or something, or do they all do this?
Mine tends to overheat when I use WAZE. I have now started using my old Lenovo Z2 for Waze when I am in the car.
I've had my device for almost a year and a half now, and I haven't gotten that pop-up before. Definitely take it to Telkom to have it checked out.View attachment 616378
This has now become an everyday thing. I will have to contact Telkom to check this phone out.
Codes with EMUI do not work anymore. Try "Device Info HW" app.
