Huawei P8 & P8 Lite - Reviews, tips & tricks

Turning LTE on cured the network freeze? That's the first time I've heard that, usually turning it off cures network freezes, not on.
 
Ill be receiving my P8 lite today. Opted for the device only through FNB. Was really keen on the Telkom R149 deal but they don't have stock and are a nightmare to deal with. A few words of advise to anyone and everyone DO NOT use the Telkom online order via there website!!! It's been two weeks now and i still haven't heard a word. Manager at the Telkom store claimed ill be luck to hear anything in 3 months... Also he said that there have people whom have had debits go off without receiving their device...

So thanks to FNB a few clicks on Friday and phone is here today!
 
TM's prices are great, but their staff are hopeless. I was on a waiting list for 2 months and didn't get my P8 lite. The MyBB rep sorted it out for me though.

Yup it was hard to turn away the great price, but the frustration was too much to deal with... Countless calls, emails, physically visiting stores and even a hello peter complaint were fruitless.

I was already unhappy about waiting a month for MTN on an upgrade I helped someone with. Based on that I won't use them.

Telkom doesn't have signal at my place although the coverage map shows 3G everywhere around me... If the service is that bad, I'd never even consider them!
 
How do I set data use warnings? The phone kept warning me before, but I don't know how to get back to the setting.
 
Data has to be on to set anything with it. Then you simply go to the setting for mobile data and move the graphs.
 
Not really...because it's in the standard Android settings menu...it's not hidden or under multiple layers or anything

Huawei uses non-standard Android. Settings --> Data traffic management looks like this:

Data warnings can be set in AVG antivirus or download the Activity Launcher app which gives you the standard Android setup (which you are referring to).

I thought it was just the App Drawer that they smudged up.
 
Huawei P8

Has anyone managed to install firmware later than B110 on their GRA-L09 from Vodacom?
There are lots of updates worldwide but Vodacom is not showing us any love here.
