Wait...did you have USB debugging on in the dev options before the device got smashed? Maybe that's why my phone always allows me to access it through USB because I always turn that on first thing when I get a new phone.

I think so. Phone was rooted with omega rom, so I imagine all that is turned on.
I'm guessing that it's actually broken badly :/
 
My p8 lite keeps defaulting its location to Lund, Sweden
Very irritating
 
Wrt dual sim, my p8 lite has 2 slots; one for micro sim.
The second slot takes either a nano sim card or a micro SD card.
If you use 2 sim cards, you can select either slot for 3G/4G. The other slot will then only be 2G

Not all are dual sim... The Vodacom one isn't but still has the card slot

AFAIK, all are dual sim, but some operators like Vodacom disable the dual sim facility on a software level...

Correct. Really difficult to change that though

I should finally get my P8 lite next week. I'm moving over from a Samsung S3 mini. Are there any big issues I should know about?
 
Yes. Retry any apps or games which seemed to have a broken UI before. The resolution upgrade might just "fix" them.
 
So nobody figured out how to enable dual sim on the Vodacom P8 Lite?

My P8 has frozen twice in the month since I've had it causing the alarm not to go off in the morning and me being late for work.
Does any other P8 owner experience this problem?
I'm hoping that it is only a software problem. My build number is B110.
Is there a newer version?

I have the same build.

Didn't have a problem on mine, but my sister had a problem where the network connection would freeze i.e. no calls, smss, instant messages in or out.

Settings --> (Wireless & Networks) More --> Mobile Network --> LTE Cat 6 CA (on) seemed to sort that problem out.
I had mine one from the time I received the phone.
