Huawei P8 & P8 Lite - Reviews, tips & tricks

I've downloaded the. Zip file for B200 and put it on my so card in a file named dload.
I can find it from my updater but it fails at 3%. Any advice please?

I managed to brick my P8 while trying to update to marshmallow.
I am stuck in a bootloop after updating to b200.
Trying to unbrick now.. But it looks like it's not an easy process.

That sucks :(.

Did the update complete and then the bootloop start?

Yip it completed 100% took about 30 seconds to complete and gave a successful message. Then it booted up and it's in the boot loop.
Don't really have time or the patience to fix this hahaha!
I want to find out if ifix can recover it for me.

Did you have the phone plugged into your PC via USB?

I got the P8 lite about a week ago. I seem to have a issue with wifi it keeps dropping and rarely reconnects. I get a message "denied access to wireless" . None of my other devices have an issue which includes a Huawei tab. Anyone else faced a similar issue?

Airwolf,

is there a tutorial site that shows the steps to get Marshmellow ? maybe i missed it here

TIA

I used the links provided by Gtx Gaming:

Here is the links :

http://huawei-info.de/update-ota-b200-huawei-p8

Bottom of the page download the full B200 firmware 1.6gb. You need to do this update first.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/ota-update-gra-l09-android-6-0-t3268757

That is the link to marshmallow update ,busy copying to my sd card to update it.

B200 - you need the unzipped dload folder and contents copied to SD card or phone directly +/- 3GB unzipped. (After update - delete the file).
B313 - copy downloaded zip into dload folder on SD card or phone. (From the updates I've done - this update file self deletes after the update - anyone else can confirm?)

For both do a local update from the update page in settings. Phone will restart and install, thereafter it will update all your apps.
You must have the B200 update installed before you can update to B313.

^ - I'm guessing the update is only for the P8 and not the Lite?

Hi, have a friend with P8Lite that behave erratically.

Is there a Soft Reset method to keep all her info, or is the Hard / Factory reset the only way ?

Thanx for any help

I would try clearing the cache first, if I was you.

In order to clear the device cache, turn off the phone, then press and hold the power and volume up button to boot up into recovery. Then select with the volume keys the clear cache option.

This may sound crazy, but how do I get to this menu:

I used to set a data use warning here, but now for the life of me I can't get back to it. It's a P8 lite if that makes a difference.

It isn't a default menu item on the P8. I use an app called activity launcher to get the default Android menu, then go to settings, data.

As far as I know I didn't install anything. It pops up when I hit the limit, but I don't know how to get to ot and reset the limit.
