Huawei P8 & P8 Lite - Reviews, tips & tricks

In your opinions is the P8 P8lite better? I want to get one, instead of upgrading my contract I can just get the sim only deals and save on the handset fees every month

P8 is better than the lite but also more expensive.
Still great value compared to other equivalent phones though.

If anyone is looking for a P8 Lite - I have 1 for sale, it was used for about a month while my mum waited for her upgrade.

Black
Dual Sim
With box and accessories (most still sealed)
Proof of purchase

R2500

Anyone seen any good local cash/prepaid deals on P8 with dual sim?

FNB -not cash though

If you could buy a P8 through capitec, then feel free. You can't, so don't.

But I can! Slowly saving up a few hundred bucks interest per month from them towards the P8 ;)

OK, I'll stop.

FNB pays for mine in full in ebucks, which I then use to buy Makro vouchers at 40% discount, so therefore FNB in fact pays me R246 per month to give me a phone :D

I'm waiting patiently for the p9 and p9lite to drop. Announcement should be in April. Wonder how long before it ships.

Ended up with the P8 today after my Galaxy S4 unexpectedly died yesterday and needed an urgent replacement without spending too many bucks. Mainly bought it for the good cellular reception as well as it looking to be a decent all round phone. Seems like a solid phone so far, but for the minor screen size upgrade it feels a good deal bulkier than the S4, the square edges probably give that impression. Build quality is excellent. Disappointed that there are no official firmware updates available so far, on Vodacom, but I'm downloading the ones listed above. The Vodacom branding on the phone is hideous as well, I'd like to get rid of that asap. Pity the G4 hasn't dropped in price as I have hoped with the launch of the G5 as it would have been my first choice.
