Huawei WiFi consumption

Good evening
i recently downloaded my data manager to keep track of how much data my devices use.
I'm in the IT industry yet i have no idea how the operating system itself could use up so much data in an hour. What do you think could be causing this? Using a Huawei P9 lite with Android marshmallow. No Android OS updates were done

Install better battery stats to get a better breakdown, but you'll probably find the culprit is Google autoupdating location etc. Even backups to drive etc
So get the app and do proper checks as else we're going to debate many possibilities ad nauseum

Locations would never use 2.4Gb

Maybe some form of cloud syncing that is part of the OS? That is file sync amounts of data.

It could be automatically downloaded, but not installed. Check your settings for system update.
Using Oreo on Huawei, it can break system services usage.

Did your phone received Oreo update? It could explain a size of the download.
