Hubble Batteries

Same here - 3 x AM5's since mid-March.

Deye 3-phase 12k Inverter.

Haven't paid any attention to them tbh - they just seem to work.

My brother has had 2 x AM2's coupled to 2 x Deye 5.5k inverters since January. No complaint from him either.
I have 3x am2 with Dye 8.8kw from March 2022.

1 started to give me problems.

Had a call with CSP and with the suupport on AM5 batteries, thinking of going for AM5 instead of sunsynk batteries. Hubble is ZAR 100 extra than sunsynk.

Dilemma is below.

1. Sunsynk with Hubble AM5: unlimited cycles, 10-year warranty on battery, 5-year warranty on inverter, 2 year warranty on BMS
2. Sunsynk with Sunsynk battery: 6000 cycles, 10-year warranty on battery, 10-year warranty on inverter

What would you guys recommend?

I am seriously confused with so many quotes and various other things

Comes down to, 2 things:
1) will you ever reach 6000 cycles in 10 years?
2) Do you really need a 10 year warranty?

Good luck trying to sleep tonight

past 2 nights yes, kind of sleepless and same will also happen today until I go with someone and make a call on who to go with

Been there, done that. Peace came after I bit the bullet and just bought one. To be brutally honest, both are equally great options.
Only you can decide, it doesn't help that there is an overload of information out there.

I currently do 16 cycles a month. Im not phased about 6000/10 years in my case will take 30 years to hit my 6000 cycles

Oh did not know that you can see the cycles on the inverter interface or mobile application. Thanks for the feedback

I looked at discharging power

and said 353/20 got 15-16 so thats the amount of cycles per month then 6000/16 to get 30 odd years

It's worth reading up on the details of that 10 year Sunsynk warranty. Is it worth it taking the fine print into account? Only u can decide.

Out of interest, what sort of issues, and how did you identify which battery ?

Lastly, is it something they would have been able to fix with their cloud thingy

If you have a SunSynk inverter and bought Hubble AM-5s.

Dont buy the Cloudlink yet - the device still doesnt work on the AM-5s and Sunsynk, and the battery and Cloudlink manufacturer still hasnt successfully fixed their software issue.

So its not worth spending money on just yet.

I've registered numerous support tickets with Hubble re this, to no avail, other than being given the runaround for months now - they still have not solved their problem.

I bought Cloudlink to get more detailed battery info...but have not got any info at all from it since having it correctly installed. Not even the basics you can get from the Sunsynk software.

Can anyone assist please, my x3 Hubble AM2 batteries are losing charge and Hubble gave me new firmware, but I do not know how to update it? I have a RS232 to USB cable but I dont know what I should do to update.

Bought a new battery today (3 now in total) :(, sending in one of my original packs in for repairs, healthy is under 50%. Was a huge grudge purchase to get another hubble, but cheaper to replace my entire stack.
