Huge thank you Amobia!

I got it to work with 196.28.78.229. Speed is not so great. Tried 4 connections and getting about 100 KB/s

Just thought I'd post a quick update. I joined a friend in playing the Diablo 3 open beta today. My Amobia connection outperformed his ADSL connection though-out the day (in the interest of full disclosure - this isn't the case when connecting to the EU LoL servers). 350 - 370ms ping to the American servers with hardly a latency spike all day. Colour me impressed again!

I live in CPT so giving advice on the PTA wug would not be my strongest point :)

But here is the " Getting Started Guide "
Near he bottom they suggest 5.8 GHz antenna so I assume it will be fine.

What's the deal with Amobia and giving private IP's for uncapped users? I really wanted to sign up with them, but I need access to my home network from the internet as well. :(

What do you want to do? There are many ways to skin a cat... :p

Connect to a certain pc, access files from a pc, access my ip cameras etc. Only way I see it working on private ip's, is if they forward ports to my devices, which means my network is open to them, which I definitely don't want.

I assume you'll face similar challenges if you go the ADSL route. Is DynDNS or a similar service not an option?

No, with Adsl (or 3g) you get a public IP, since you're connected directly on the net, so you can use something like DynDNS. Amobia wants to to connect to their internal network first, then from there out on the net.
