Huge Vodacom data price cuts

Saying that 3gb is enough for you, so it should be enough for everyone is like saying no one needs a car that can travel more than 40km on a tank of petrol because your daily commute is only 10km
Not saying everyone should be able to only use 3gb. I know it's expensive so I don't use it that much on my phone. You can get a 10gb vodacom data sim for r150 if you use alot of data look at other options

If vodacon agreed to it there is a catch or they have thought of something the authorities haven't. Vodacon cannot be trusted.
Well when they announced the price cut i got a sms saying they are getting rid pf talking points

haven't used them since i was in grade 10 though

Cannot wait to get off this network.
Overpriced and breaks whenever there is loadshedding (ironically, my Telkom mobile device maintains 4G during load shedding)
Oh, and they support the EFF financially. So many reasons to ditch Vodacom.

In Thailand less than R100 p.m. gets you broadband UNCAPPED (really uncapped, not Telkom uncapped). Guess who's economy is growing. And guess which society has the smallest wealth gap.

Because they don't have to replace stolen and damaged equipment all the time. And extra generators for cell towers
I don't buy this. How many towers does Vodacom have and how many batteries are stolen? I'm sure if you work out the cost it's a small fraction of their total expenditure. Equipment also doesn't get damaged. It's high up on a tower and I don't see people climb up there often or ever even.

Just bought data this morning from Voda on their app. 1Gb is still R99 for 1 month.

However some new options opened just before you pay, 1Gb Video for R60, 1Gb Social for R60 and 1Gb WhasApp for R35. I skipped over those at this stage. I spend most of my time close to wifi anyway and only do Facebook as example from my office.

I don't get why everyone is complaining about the data prices. I use like 3gb of data a month on my phone max useally a lot less. And you can't compair our data prices to over sea prices. In south Africa they need to add in the price of towers being destroyed and generators and diesel and battery theft. Vodacom is still a business and needs to make money or it will end up like any other thing the government run.

My FNB doesn't, but my wife's Vodacom handles load shedding like a champ, than again FNB doesn't like normal either soo.

@rpm do you know if this is also for out of bundle rates?
(is there any change the OOB charges?)

My LTE router costs me R6.09c per GB through Vodacom atm (half that if you include night owl)...

Exactly that, who do you go to or try out? That is right where I am now.
Especially if you want to keep your number, I have heard some horror stories regarding porting.

Loosing your number is a simple way to loose a lot of tossers who bother you, when you don't need to be bothered.

Trouble is, they usually know someone, who knowns someone , who knows you, and they get your number again.
