It's no where near to vrot fish.
That's kelp extract or whatever.
That stuff stinks to high heaven.
Nitrosol has a metallic smell.
Really not bad in the slightest.
I quite like it's smell.
Sometimes I foliar feed and the grow smells from the lights and nitrosol creating a odor.
But even that is more than acceptable, in fact I quite like it.
It's the smell of success. :)

Smell of success - i like that lol
Seems 1ml per liter is reasonable for hydro and at R95 per L its 1000 applications, i just never knew nitrosol was a hydro nute!!!!
 
I have used a few vegging nutrients and when you look at price and quality, nitrosol trumps them.

There was a point when I tried worm casting, worm soups, bat guano, etc. It was an expensive exercise.
Nitrosol just works.

Apparently the 5kg is also available at builder's. So far it looks like about R700 for a 20kg bag. Will confirm when I actually receive it.

Not to mention messy, well when it comes to me atleast lol
 
So seems we have 2 frontrunners for hydro nutes namely Nitrosol (liquid) and Nutrifeed (powder).
Nitrosol - 1ml / 1 liter of water
Nutrifeed - 16-39 g / 10liters - according to Nutrifeed feeding chart (I chose tomatoes).

So
Nitrosol 1g/1 liter water - R95 for 1000 applications
Nutrifeed 1.6 - 3.9 g/ liter water- R69 for 312/128 applications

Leaning towards Nutrifeed because they seem to have done homework on each plant and what they require, whereas Nitrosol has a blanket statement of 1ml/liter..shoe.. i dunno, anyone using both?
 
Well I calculated on 10g/5L and you get about 3000L more than Nitrosol when using that average. I would still like to try the Nitrosol as well. Can't hurt after all.

So you calculated 2g/liter, on a 500g pack that is only 250 liters?:confused:
 
Give it a try.
Nitrosol won't harm your plants.

If you have the cash then go for the bio range entirely.
Their products are awesome.
Internationally recognized as one of the best.

That bold bit is important, part of the reason why I switched from local to international nutes.

That is what is roughly recommended on the back of the 500g pack. And I worked off of the 20kg quantity.

So essentially how far R700 would get you.

Was thinking last night, one is lab made (Nutrifeed) and the other is made from animal offal (Nitrosol).So Nitrosol would provide a larger range of nutrients ,terpenes right?

20kg = 20 000g so 10 000 liters of feed :O
