Hydroponic Gardening DIY

I'll take some pics for you when I get home today. They're still tiny but getting there. Your brandywine looks about as big as mine currently.
Cool thanks. Are those first 2 leaves the seed leaves right? I think we have to wait until they get 'true' leaves to go outside???

Yup need some true leaves and a bit of a stronger stem. I also wait for a little bit of proper root development before moving them around.

And lastly showing some root formation on the lettuce.

Just an update on the Nutrifeed. Looks like a 20kg bag roughly works out 4 times cheaper than buying the equivalent in 500g packets. They still haven't replied yet but it looks good so far.

Have you tried nitrosol (efecto)? It's freely available, organic, concentrated liquid that won't block pipes.

No. At the moment I have only tried the nutrifeed and the Gro, Bloom and Micro nutrients that I bought from Andy at greenthumbHydroponics.

It works wonders for soil grown veg and flowers. I googled it and it seems good for hydroponics. You might be able to show nutrifeed the door if they've been unhelpful.

HYDROPONICS:

Calculate the size of your holding tank and add 1ml of concentrated Nitrosol®
Natural Organic Plant Food for every 1 litre of water (1:1 000)

Four days later top-up the holding tank with water and add the same quantity of
concentrated Nitrosol® Natural Organic Plant Food as was used when starting
the system. Repeat every seven days.

Check system regularly for biological oxygen demand, flush and use fresh material
If necessary.

Interesting.

brb opening farm
lol....

Aaaaalrighty then.... I have had quite a lot of interest in my Tunnel design. So I'm going to try and post some pics and help out where I can at passing on design tips. To start off with, I asked my Boet to do me a sketchup based on my drawings I had done by hand. I will search for the file and post a link with some rendered pics for you guys.

I've used it soil and soiless mediums very effectively.
It is also very difficult to burn your plants with it.
Lush green is a std with nitrosol.

Interesting, didnt know it was a hydro nute!
Could it clog up nozzels potentially??Thinking aeroponics mainly.

Please guys, is this globe ok? Just to provide extra light to tomato seedlings before they're hardened off. I'm getting impatient. It screws into an ordinary desk top light so no need to get involved in electricity.

They're helpful guys but courier charges are a bit high.
I personally would just get an 80 w floro bulb, 42 w i easier to find though! They dont advertise lumens for that LED bulb.

Well it is a liquid feed.
I have never found it to clog a thing.
Very little sediment from it as it's not a powder.

For the guys who are interested in the larger quantities of the Nutrifeed just PM me so I can send you the into and prices that I have received so far.
