Pet masters branches actually have better pricing on the pumps. Haven't been able to uploads pics after redoing everything because Tapatalk is being full of it.
Bought a spare last Saturday at Pick n Pay for R100. They have been heavily marked down for whatever reason. Should actually go grab another one. My first one is still plodding along but the battery is starting to go flat.Bought this today and I think it's pretty cool. Now I should know exactly with how much I'm topping up my containers.

@Zenbaas, your setup on the cascade looks great, but I learned last year that the roots quickly block up the drainage from one level to the next resulting in the water overflowing and the reservoir running dry.
I know but you'll see there is already another drainage pipe for some additional draining. I'm hoping I'll be removing the plants before the root become that hectic but I won't lie I wish I had used bigger square tubing. I feel that the root systems need more space and the net pots should be just touching the water and not immersed in them like they currently are.
I'm in two minds if I want to redo everything now while I still have some energy left of wait it out.
Tomatoe roots last year grew through the Dutch buckets along the drainage system all the way into the reservoir...! Thirsty things they are.
Everything growing nicely at the moment. Had to adjust my. PH quite a bit as it was going way too high. Plants looking better after the initial adjustments.
Switched my nutes to Nutrifeed and they seem to be doing much better. Also dropped the pH way down which helped to prevent the nutrient lockout that I think was occurring.
My reservoir seal broke on Friday when the help kicked the pipe entering the drum and the rubber grommet broke
now I've had to try and patch it sealants and silicone etc etc so hoping it will hold. Not fun having 100L of water run out. 
This Pak Choi has for some reason decided to grow huge. Much bigger than my other ones have in the past.
So here are some cucumbers that I have decided to grow using the Kratky method. So for those who do not know what this method entails it's basically where you fill the container with water and nutrients, then you place your small seedling so the roots just touch the water and as they roots grow into the nutrient solution the exposed roots then develop the ability to absorb O2. So it's as low maintenance as you get.
Are you using just plain nutrifeed here too?
Absolutely. I have actually found it to be a great nutrient feed considering the price.
Any ideas where I can find the Nutrifeed feeding chart..? My Google fu isn't helping my at all currently.
