Glad to hear it.

Pay special attention to when the doc talks about the meds & ask about booze. A lot of *that* kind of meds don't play nice w/ booze. :(

yeah, thanx guys! Still some hard work ahead of me, but jeez, I am very relieved today! I was kuk scared about finding more..... shooooo
 
So just done the second Op on Friday, feels like I've been hit by a bus.... A lot more sensitive this time round. Pretty tiring too... Got about a week to heal before we start prepping for the radiation :(
 
Yeah those blimming buses are a pain the neck hey IRG???!!! hehehe... You just hang in there Captain!!! So far so good under the circumstances hey... My late mother was on interferon some 25 years ago. At the time it was an experimental drug. Sorted her out but unfortunately her cancer recurred.

Some feedback for all ya who followed this thread...

I finished a 17 day course of Radiation (10 day High dose on my face) on the 17th of December... Man was I unprepared for that... the whole of my mouth ended up being one huge ulcer type sore. My tongue,cheeks, lips, gums, throat..... not pleasant. Spent 4 days in hospital where they put on 3 drips (obviously could not eat). Was boring as hell!! Most of my mouth has healed up with the exception of the areas closest to where the tumor was. I got my taste back after a few weeks, but I cant eat anything acidic, sour or spicy ...burns the shyte out of me (even simple stuff like mayo & tomato sauce)

Radiation SUX!!!!!
 
lol ... Mine was not one to stuff around with, I am so lucky I found it and took immediate action.... Melanoma is one of the trickiest cancers to treat, does not respond well to chemo / radiation.
