I have a multi million dollar idea

It's not even my idea and I'm getting excited.
Brilliant to read from all the seasoned venture capitalists on mybroadband.
 
Just remember traction in the US is all that matters, that is the market that truly makes or breaks for most category of technology, that's if you have designs on going truly huge. You really need some way of breaking it over there, producthunt etc and some significant influencers that are early adaptors.

I've seen some amazing apps go no where, just because no one knows about them, and then some other piece of schit gets the limelight because the right people spread the word on the right platforms.

There has to be a strategy to put the app in the correct people's hands, the market is so busy it's easy for a launch to go virtually unnoticed, though if it is killer and someone influential picks up on it 2 weeks after the fact it can still spread like wildfire.

Unless the app addresses a problem unique to South Africa and God I can think of a few.
 
Guy in the states says the idea is solid and hopping on board as part of the team to give me advice. He gave me some do's and dont's re: competition changing my focus to the app more then secrecy - and made some pretty kick ass suggestions. Looks like I am taking it forward with some really nice additions. Think I will take the app as it is now from the dev and attempt to do some of the additional work myself, with some guidance from friends.

He sold it and is living fat off the proceeds on a remote island
 
His partners scammed him, ran off with his girlfriend and is now at Sterkfontein
