The dc hub just keeps a list of online ppl and chats. When you download you connect directly to the person sharing the file (it is not called Direct Connect for no reason...)

No, really, juslaaik..

No more jokes, we need to be serious on this forum....

correct. It was just running on old hardware - I've put in a new box, so it should stay up now

Thanks jontyB.

I was wondering whether something was wrong on my side or if the server was down, as I struggled to connect last night.

I've noticed as well that when running Bitlord with DC++ I get disconnected sometimes "Your computer forced the connection to close" or something like that.

I got that using DC++, so I don't think it is BitLord.

I could well be wrong though...

*sigh* my other server seems to be dead as well. I don't feel like driving to verizon now to go and see what's going on now. Will do so in the morning.

*don't buy IBM*

hhhm, at what addy? ibust-za.kicks-ass.net? caus i tried that just now
and it gave me a timeout...

ah thx jontyB, was havin a bit of a blonde moment and forget the port :( any case, thx 4 da help, and keep up the good work :)

Hey guys

I'm using DC++ and can connect to the hub fine, but can't seem to connect to any users. They are listed on the side.

I'm connecting using a Linksys Wireless router, and Zonealarm running on the PC. Are there any config changes that need to be done? Get the feeling its something small I'm missing...
