Idols is racist

Mara is the local Paula Abdul factor.
 
Dont you just love it when racist people acuse others of being racist. Mara has allways been the most racist person on that panel for years now.

Anyway. My GF loves Idols and voted for L'loyd every week even thought "Elvis" Aka Jan is an old friend of mine.

Its funny how the real racists tend to be the first one complaining about everything.
 
She is trying to objectify the subjective, this is one of the primary characteristics of racism. We are not interested in her 'judgment'; she was hired, so that people could hear her OPINION, an opinion based on the subjective(porn) alone.

It's like us blaming that the reason why Zuma won, is because most South Africans are Black and a large majority of those may bit racist. While this may well be true, we could not objectify it and we can not nullify his presidency based on this supposed(real or not) fact. We can't prove it and even more so, if democracy is what we vowed for then decision would be the decision, and it's the decision which is relevant to who wins, this is what was prescribed when we chose to use democracy(a vote). Everything else is irrelevant

Idols is for DSTV subscribers, it's not held by the government or some charity pledge for South Africa.

Racism here is being defined wrong. Him winning is more an indication of the wealth levels between blacks & whites. If the show was on SABC2, do you think it would have gone the same way?
 
Clearly unlike Disney they have failed to take in to account the buying power of the 13yr old girl.
To give people 100 votes and not expect to get a white male idol, clearly show they don't understand the audience. Who else beside a 13 yr old is going to vote 100 times on mxit.

If the want a black Idol, 1 vote per person will get them thier winnner.

But the suffer from a paradox either get who they want or make a hell of a lot of money on extra votes.
 
Mara is/was married to a white dude. Her problem with wanting a Black idol is just confusing. Not sure if she is a racist, but from what i'v seen she seems like an alcoholic hillbilly. Absolutely no constructive criticism whatsoever. Mnet should sack her @$$ as a judge, she knows nothing about identifying talent.
 
I watch the show and I watched her compliment Elvis Blue almost every single show by saying that he has a bright future and she even cried when he sang once or twice. Now she turns around to say this???

She must really make her mind up and get a life.

I get the impression that she is racist and sexist - in that order. I appreciate that what I have heard has been through the broadcast process and isn't the same as being there but surely all the crappy singers soudn crappy irrespective of the process? I've seen her praise black folk when they have been awful.

That she has said good things about Elvis Blue - well, the first time I heard him (in his audition) I said that he was awesome - talent will always stand out and she can't be so stupid as to go against that.

I don't doubt that Mara, herself, has talent. She just seems to be a bit of a racist.
 
She said Idols was full of racism and if M-Net did not soon sell the competition to the SABC, South Africans would never have a black winner.

Whats the chances of that, she wasnt fired for being drunk - you try coming to work drunk- in any event they (DSTV) would be accused of being racist had they fired her.

they have judges that are hasbeens and the real singers they had judging the contestants with them did not have anything to say other than agree with the judges next to them.
