Just listen to the radio and you should hear them. Graeme is a good entertainer but his voice is not that great. At the end of the day - they want someone who can sell loads albums and not just entertain unfortunately. This is purely due to the fact that the winner will be signed to Sony BMG who will make sure that the winner is the person they can make the most money off.

saw a youtube video with him and 340 mil live on stage........AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Idols shock for viewer
04/05/2009 13:00 - (SA)

Cape Town - A viewer of Glitterati on kykNET got a shock when the show apparently announced the name of the Idols winner on Saturday.

"On their highlight before the start of the official programme, they said that they are talking to the Idols winner Sasha Lee and other information about the Idols winner," said News24 user Louis.

"Then all of a sudden the programme stopped went to a commercial break and after the break a new Glitterati episode started."

"That's rubbish," Glitterati media representative Haddad Viljoen told News24. "What happened was that they announced we'll be chatting to the Idols winner next week, but didn't mention the name."

"We record episodes two weeks in advance and there's no way we could have known who the winner was going to be."

"In fact, we're recording the interview with Sasha Lee this afternoon," he added.

He admits that there was a mistake with the tapes aired on Saturday, but said that this was a minor error.

"We aired the first segment of next week's show and changed it after we realised our mistake," he said.

Full Story

Idols winner Sasha Lee Davids admits that she is shocked by her victory but is now looking forward to conquering SA and maybe even getting a Grammy.

ROFLMAO.
What is this girl smoking? Maybe she can get a Grammy for wooden mic.

I agree! I also did not think much of the SA Idols Contestants!

For sanity I prefer American Idols, and watch great artists in the making ...

The question is: It's Idols the Fifth Series or Season 5 in nowspeak, but none of the Winners have managed to crack the limelight, so sad so sad!

An intervention is required ...
Think I watched one episode a while back. Wasn't impressed with any of the contestants, so I don't really care who won. When I saw this article I thought you guys might find it interesting.

There must be more evidence that this was all BS...

The American Idols are better but if any of them were horrible and won, they would still get tons more exposure and enter global charts.
