The figure of R3 million that has been bandied around relates to the total project of revamping the website, based on a complete redesign and redevelopment of the website, streamlining and standardising presentation and content management, though the use of modern content management tools and systems.
Ok as someone has said somewhere before me, there is nothing that is 'standardising presentation' in this new site. If you goto https://www.elections.org.za/amregister/amregister.aspx to check if you are registered you loose all the (crap) css from the main page and have a white box? how is that standardising the look? ... And dont even make me laugh @ the whole "modern content management tools and systems" because this clearly isnt that.
Lets get Carte Blanche in on this.
The IEC is free, fair and open. They shouldn't have any issues answering all questions relating to this craptastic site.
I can't think of any software developed for a website that should cost R3 mil... you might reach that number with a lot of hardware...but for software alone...never ever...unless if you're being scammed
Carte Blanche, those people who did the Web 2.0 episode in 2008? Yer joking, right? Ruda's first question would be "So, please tell our viewers what a website is?"
Let's get Deborah Patta to interview these people.
BEE at its best. R297K for the 2 businessmen "commission" and the other 3K for the chap they got of the street.![]()
Please don't blame this on BEE. This is corruption. And corruption isn't always black.
R297K for the 2 businessmen's commission and the other 3K for the chap they got of the street.![]()
