Actually I know what they using, and they can tell exactly what you doing on your account. You would be surprised what today's equipment can do, and it can easily handle the users, the more users you have the more equipment you throw at the problem. Much like have more and more routers as your routers also have a bandwidth limit.
I don't know what they're using, if anything, so I can't say. What I can say is that they better know exactly what they're doing if they're sniffing/saving/running DPI over all their users. They would be putting themselves in a privacy-infringement position which would be very difficult to defend I presume.
