I'm so angry

@merc One door closes another opens. Sounds like you got the requisite skill set never to be hungry again. Go get em big boy!!

Good luck, that is very crap.

I have my own business and my staff gets paid even if it means that I don't get one cent.

You can't run a business without loyal and happy staff.

An owner of a company must make provision for rough times to pay employees irrespective of income. This owner wants profits without risks. Doesn't work that way. Get out of that company soonest. The owner is either an ignorant fool or a person with a "morality disability".

I, and a few of my colleagues have still not been paid yet.
"a few"? Are there actually people that *did* get paid? If so then that is just not cool.

I'd definitely hit the job hunt angle hard. As an employee you should not be exposed to cash flow risk - unless you share in profits. The whole thing reeks of p!ss poor management tbh.

You are all spot on. I'm going to start looking ASAP. Unfortunately, I still need to get paid and I honestly don't know when it's going to happen.

Reminds me of a company i worked for wherein I foresaw stuff going down, left, was unemployed for months, but what i foresaw happen. Sometimes i guess you just have to trust gut, sadly hr company which arranged job didnt take it well and you can't exactly say what went down in interviews. Weird how life is.

So when you interviewed for this job, they sat down and told you that they may or may not pay you depending on when/if the client pays them, and you thought, great this sounds like the place for me? Or was it more that you didn't have a lot of choices when they made you the job offer? Well whatever, I've been in that waiting for client to pay situation before and it's horrific.

They didn't tell me that when I signed the contract and I had been unemployed for a long time, so I really didn't have much of a choice, either.
I have been struggling to sleep. I don't feel well :(

What does the contract say exactly about payment?

Then I'm not sure how they're altering the terms of your employment by saying "you only get paid when clients get paid".

Seems to me like they're shifting their liabilities out, and in actual fact may be insolvent.
