Half the problem are statements like this.

The lack of empathy and understanding. You know how hard the decision to leave can be? Why don't you try and understand why someone feels they need to leave before casting aspersions?

I really don't agree that "statements like this" are the problem. I have discussed this at length with many people, I understand the reason people want to leave, what I don't understand is people who just blatantly complain and spread all the negativity in the world to others without REAL intention of leaving, ecspecially people with adequate means to do so, they have the skills, qualification and money to do so, have very little in terms of family etc keeping them here and still go on about how k@k here is and how great there is etc but then haven't so much as visited the places or started to look at the visa process etc.

There is a big difference between wanting to go and not being able to, as is there a big difference between saying you want to go and not actually intending to, this is why i say if you want to go and can, then fsck off and stop talking about it.
