Immigrating to the UK

What's your score on Clearscore?

I am soaring high it seems

But how does one watch F1 in 4k HDR without Sky? Only reason they're my ISP, to be honest and it's not cheap.

Jirre. I'm struggling like hell to get a Schengen visa. Checked the Netherlands, Belgium and France and I just cannot an appointment. Doesn't matter where in the UK I try to get a booking. Anyone have any ideas? I'm tempted to fly the family back to SA and do it from there at this stage

I got my wife a Spanish one by paying a lot of money for a home appointment

Do you need a shengen to visit Europe even if you have a British passport now? Confused. It's been a while since I travelled to europe?

I need to check if they do it in Birmingham... Otherwise I'll frankly book a night somewhere in London to do it.

What, you fell for the scam, no man!

Top tip 1 - check later in the evening for appointments for the next day or two. Seems to happen often appointments for next day pop up the previous evening.

Top tip 2 - do a walk in. As long as you have ALL the documents and everything else ready, they will help you on they day.

Credit score finally went up by 16 points to "Ok" from "Needs work"

Wonder if I will be approved for a credit card now, really just need something with even a £100 limit in order to help my score along...

I think I read a comment from Sinbad about Loqbox and I signed up for that when I got here, it definitely seemed to have helped a bit
Also Try Capital One.

I got a £200 limit after I think 6 months in country.

After using that responsibly, Monzo Flex gave me a £3000 limit after that

Had a quick look but can't get past the eligibility check as they don't allow me to put in an address outside of UK

Why would you want to specify non-UK address? They pretty much want minimum 3 years of a UK address. If you don't have 3 years, just use the first UK address you have and backdate it to 3 years.

NB: This is not legal advice, it my personal experience of living in SA

Some places allow you to manually enter an address outside of the UK. But it's not a problem, I was just getting annoyed but I'm just going to have to be patient with the process. I don't really want to lie on an application about something that's easily verifiable either. And apologies @Tman* , didn't mean to sound annoyed at you! I appreciate the recommendation

There are plenty of lenders who will accept SA address history, just shop around.

I am still 3 weeks away from having 3 years UK address history. I have a mortgage and my credit card limit is over 50k.

I've had an aqua card, capital one, some other credit builder I can't remember, and more lately tesco and my last card was an HSBC elite with a lunatic limit.
