Rammed full and hot yes. Noise not so much.
Even when I used the metro for a month in Dubai last month, never had that issue.
There is a very big difference between a wife and a concubine!! Just saying.

I know I can voluntarily do it on A2 (probably). Let's not discuss this in this thread though. Short of it is I'm too lazy to do the exams atm.
We have the keys to the new place; and already started ordering things off Amazon for when we get there. Friend is having it delivered to their place and then taking it to our new place.
I'm not trying to get all our ducks in a row with this new place, with regards to Utilities and such. It as a pre-paid meter and judging by post that has arrived at the property; it's with e-on.
Don't want to rock up on day one with no power and feel like I am back in SA lol
We're only going to be in the property from middle of July. I assume, we won't be charged for anything on the power / gas wise expect for standing charges? (No fridge running etc there atm)
Do I need to do anything more? I looked on e-on's site and they're just saying I have a prepaid meter and that's nice.. call them if I want tariff info etc.
Then there is water - which, is through SouthEastern Water (As the property is in Eastbourne) - is this something I can just look into once we are there? Looks like it isn't billed monthly - but only every 6 months.
Also tried to look at getting the Council Tax thing setup. Registered on the council site - they just said "cool we will get back to you in 5 days" Which was two weeks ago.
Also told the BBC the property is empty. So don't try send anyone round to check if we have a licenses lol
Just trying to cover as many bases as possible; as we can't afford any nasty surprises, financially once we there. I assume we might get some "breaks" in bills for May / June as the property is empty.
I know council tax can be paid monthly or yearly. So we'd be liable for May / June - I'd rather try get that sorted now as well

Get your mate to check post when they visit the property. Fairly sure our correspondence all comes via physical mail. Annual amount split over 10 payments.

They'll be at the property again later this week or on Saturday. I'll ask them to check again for anything addressed to us.
The tax for this property is high; I think it's band F (So £3k a year, roughly) - but that's fine. We didn't want to risk not having a place to go to when we get there or a place to send animals to.
Landlord has been super accommodating. They've already made alterations to the one side wall, we were concerned was too low for the animals - so he did that last week and now dogs won't be able to jump out easy.
Are you renting or bought the new place ? You should also register with the near by doctors
We're renting. I won't be able to register for a doctor until my visa is through and I have an NI number. But good shout; I'll add it to the list of things to do once we're there.
We've also been looking at day cares in the area. Seen some decent ones at good pricing. And with the governments help on subsidies it's very close to what we pay here anyway. But like most things, they want us there before we can get him in - so hoping there isn't a long wait list or something like that.
