Impressive Rain 5G performance after network changes

Is mybroadband investigating or doing paid adverts for Rain? For every one good review I read there are 20 bad ones ranging from poor speed to non existent support.

Is there anybody who has satisfactory 5G in the Fourways area?
good question

Their 24/7 4G product still sucks balls

Wish Frogfoot would get it's arse into gear and finish installing our area's fibre

I've had absolutely terrible luck with Rain. We've had no internet for weeks, and when they finally replaced the CPE with an outdoor unit it worked great for about 2 days and then died again, so we moved it around a bit and it was great again for a day or so, and now there has been no 5G signal since Sunday, no matter where we put the thing.

I'm frustrated to a point where I'm considering going back to my previous 5Mbps wireless internet connection, since that seems to be my only option.

Impressive Rain 5G performance after network changes

Tests of Rain’s 5G network in Pretoria and Centurion have shown an impressive performance, with download speeds exceeding 500Mbps in certain areas.

MyBroadband conducted this testing following complaints from Rain 5G subscribers about slow speeds and intermittent connectivity issues.
Thanks Mybroadband for participating in fraud. Your tests on Rain network were choreographed. I am a new 5G customer in northwold, JHB, and to say the least, I am extremely p**sed. The network drops every 5-10mins. The signal is weak. No help from Rain. I want to cancel but the Rain system won't allow me (no cancel button after login into my acvount). Imagine with 60% work from home and all you give are excuses why you can't attend virtual meetings.

That was exactly my experience in Fourways. The service just didn't work. I would get 200mbps for maybe 10 minutes every 5th day. The rest of the time under 10mbps...

This is the same experience in Centurion.
Seems like there is a pattern

Yeah, I mentioned this a couple of days ago in one of the Rain threads... Speeds have improved quite significantly.... Still seeing quite a big disparity between office hours and after hours performance, but honestly, with the plug and play setup we've adopted, this is more than respectable!! Might look at an outdoor, roof top installation once installers and handymen are back in business...

This is Kempton Park btw, apologies, not Centurion/PTA...
Think I jinxed it!! Last 3 days it's been stuck on 4g for the most part!! Pretty disappointing!!

Pretoria Gardens area, really poor connection. Ranges dramatically from good (well last one was on 14 May) to really poor like today. Same hardware, same position, but Rain tells me it is my hardware. Not sure how this could be due to their side ever changing. But this was also from last support they gave in end of April, nothing yet from them.
