In need of HTTPS (fast) account (Axxess capped too slow) :cry:

Hi there,

I'm looking for an ADSL ISP that have a very nice speed NOT using Axxess/Afrihost/MTN while they have their ADSL bandwidth troubles.

I'm using git/docker/etc. from my home, and the HTTPS pulls are so excruciatingly slow :cry: ... so slow, that I'll no be able to use up my 100+100GB for this month ;(

Axxess's pricing was quite nice, but then again, you get what you pay for, especially as I haven't *yet* had the need to get a Business line, as the CAPped should be unthrottled :confused:

So, what advice is out there for a well priced ISP that have fast (day time) HTTPS speeds for things as GIT/docker/etc. pulls/pushes??
 
Just confirming what everyone else has said, an IS business capped account would be ideal for you.

It might be a little more expensive than the 100+100 depending on what your daytime data requirements are.

Hmm... great, and signing up, but I'm really confused with the statement for the 6month contract:

Choose a 6 month term agreement and Crystal Web will provide you with your first month free, and give you data at just R1,50 per GB

I'm happy with the 6month for R1.50/GigaByte special, but then the question about the "first month free" I'm asking about when the first payment is due and when that first month will be free/credited? :confused:

Make the initial payment. Thereafter we'll apply that as a credit to your account to use in any month you wish to...

EDIT: I've amended the form to make this a bit more clear...
 
Hey DJ, could you toss me a basic uncapped home account to test? I'm having no fun with my current SP... cannot even stream Youtube and online gaming latencies are higher than Grant on meth.

We don't do uncapped trials of individual account types. We're busy redeveloping our systems to provide this sort of thing though.

We do offer a 1GB free trial account on the site.

Drop me a PM though and let's see what we can do...
