This was the site that wanted your ID# to sign up? Pretty sure that was the case early on and I just shrugged and moved on.

100%. When they first launched you had to provide your ID number when registering on the site, it was a compulsory field that you couldn't bypass. I took one look at that said "hell no" and never returned.

ie I browse on Clicks to see how much they are but I have never bought a thing from Clicks online
Same with Checkers.
Takealot I purchase about 1 out of every 30 browsing sessions
Amazon is about 1 to 5

Reminds me of Instagram. You can buy followers but when you have 1.5 million followers and when you post something only 15 actually comment or say something, then you have a serious disconnect. I remember one influencer had 1.7 million followers and put something on sale. 0 people bought it.
