I've been using the R99 package since begin Jan and started off the bat downloading. FTP and FTPES after a few days was heck slow. I started experimenting with VPN and seems a few ports on the IS network is not shaped. Basically they packet shape and if you can figure out which ports is not being shaped on the network you can setup a tunnel to your vps (if you have one).

This is a home account and should be used as such, not a downloading 24/7 account that degrades the network for others.

Keep your stars 3 and above, your downloads between 23:00-6:00 and you wont have a problem.

+1

I appreciate knowing what I need to do to get good service, and I don't mind these rules. None of that "dynamically shaped, as there is capacity" crap.

10mb R499 account on 4mb line:

Sunday morning, 5 stars, rainy day of Netflix, Monday morning, 3 stars.

Strange for 10PM Wednesday evening.
First noticed it on TS when everyone turned into robots.

Took a look a networx and noticed it almost looks like I've been limited to 11k.

Are these accounts two concurrent connections? I heard someone say they were but just want to double check
The most I have made is 3 concurrent. Speed is halved every time a connection is made and the star rating also goes lower in some cases.
