Inside Steve Jobs' brain

Im still not sure why people hero worship this idiot. He never invented anything, all he ever did was choose products. Aside from chosing products the only other thing he did was treat his staff like crap and demean people.

If you cant recognize greatness, even in the people you dont like, then your judgment is lacking and untrustworthy.

Surely you must at lest have some kind of basis for your opinion other than that? That description applies to many millions of people and none of them where called great, why was Steve? Oh you already answered that:

Im still not sure why....

Do yourself a favor and find out why, or stfu.

You know Jobs reminds me of Hitler, awe inspiring speeches, and the amazing skill to turn things around, but a total @s$h0le in person

Just a comment on the stores, which may be off topic.
They seem very basic, simplistic, and maybe uninspiring. The design looks modern using white as the primary colour. No lifestyle graphics (i.e. people using apple product etc).

The outside of some of the shops look rather grand.
Reminds me a little of Cafe Nescafe in Japan 2001, first such store to open in Japan.

I wonder who did the branding implementation of the shop lay-outs?

Most people is gullible. Believing in stuff like for instance a miracle cure etc, etc... and ofcourse believing that Steve Jobs was something extraordinary, when in fact he wasn't. His success was and still is, based on gullible people (Apple fan bois), who believe that "only apple and Steve Jobs can create stuff thats no-one else can equal."

Pen Jillette once said that most people want to be gullible, people want to be fooled....mmmm

I'm not a huge fan of Steve or apple generally, but credit where credit's due he did save the company from near bankruptcy, and their products are very pretty and user friendly... Even my aunt can operate her ipod and she barely know how to make calls on her phone

He was good man, he did great things and that you can't deny unless you yourself are a fan boy(windows maybe) other wise I think he did things well cause apple products just work.

He was a bastard but it sure got things done

That's a bit harsh, I just think he had lots of great people working for and with him to take the company to where it is. His style as a leader may have been different from others, but that's not reason to be mean.

currently reading his biography, Steve Jobs was a mean man. He had an eye for creating great products. He wasnt a great father figure though. Very unique style of leadership.. he did push people create do things Steve's way.... dont know if apple will fall back into 1988 near bankruptcy years, if they don't continue to innovate.. my 1cent...

So I take it you also one of these billionaires who's made your fortune on the back of millions upon millions of gullible people...??

Yeah, really? And what have you started from inside your garage lately (other than your Toyota)??

A Good man? Do you know he stopped all of Apple's philanthropy projects when he became CEO again? As well as rejecting his biological daughter for all of her pre-adult life? Definitely not a selfish, sadistic control freak.

Even the IPAD's... Come on. I have both one and two just wanted to see if the second one would be any better than the first one. Both are cr@p. Sure Apple set a trend but the opposition made it so much better so quickly. Just the memory limitation...please. Loads of ....

This whole Jobs spiel in the news lately is absolutely fascinating to me. People have such diverse opinions on it. I keep running into new opinions that I initially think are breathtakingly stupid & then realize a bit later that the opinion has merit in its own way. i.e. Somehow they are all true in their own right.

I think Steve Ballmer's book will be more interesting.
Really? That dude never struck me as particularly interesting in any way. He has the cut-throat win-at-any-cost thing going, but...meh.

I definitely think so!

He is also known for throwing things around in the office, a total loon and always surprises you when you least expect it.

During the Occupy Wall Street thing, there was a play on where the writer (who had actually met Jobs) showed what Apple really was about. Basically, child labour in China produces most of Apple's products and it ain't cushy jobs either. The fact that Steve Jobs was aware of it and did nothing to stop it speaks volumes about his "greatness".

To be fair, most electronics are produced in this manner. But for such a draconian overlord such as Jobs, sourcing the cheapest and charging the highest, it makes you think about his ethics, no?
