I've recently got telkom ADSL line. So I got NETGEAR-N 300 ADSL2+ Modem Router (DGN2000). (Running Windows XP). Plugged in the modem and put in the CD. Started running Smart wizard setup. It takes me through all the steps:

Only selections I made was: LLC Based VPI 8 VCI 35. Then its scans for my ISP (takes about 5 min). After that it prompts me for static IP adress and says I should get that from my ISP (Telkom). Telkom says I should not use the CD and instucted me to type in 192.168.0.1 in the IE address box. This keeps taking me back to the Netgear smart wizard, which keeps taking me up until it wants IP address.

Anybody self installed this modem with Telkom as ISP. Please help.

Had a similar problem, just reset the router as per the manual by holding both buttons to reset it to default.
Dont use the cd, just login manually afterwards and enter the settings

If you have removed the CD from the computer and uninstalled any software that was installed from the CD this should not happen (if this was the case).

Thing is even with the cd out the router goes into like a loop. I had exactly the same issues. Just reboot the firmware into stock, login manually and enter settings manually.

If you go to "http://www.routerlogin.net/basicsetting.htm" in Internet explorer on the DGN2000 should get you past the stupid setup wizard, and take you straight to the manual setup (Hope I remember the address correctly). When I got my DGN2000 this really stuffed me around, but after I got the thing setup it has not given me any problems.....
