Interconnect policy direction officially withdrawn

Back in 1992 we had a referendum to abolish apartheid, now we need one to abolish the anc. These so-called people are in fact worse than the ZANU-PF, at least with Bob and the boys you know you're screwed with these idiots you haven't got a clue where you stand; they change their minds from one minute to the next.

Four seasons in one day!!!

I'm really surprised that people are surprised by this, we all knew that ICASA/Gauvament are totally useless, and are easily pushed over when it comes to corporate bullies....

W.T.A !!!!!

Zuma just gave the army a 65% raise... what do you think he is planning ? ZANU ?

Where's Lance?

Lets have a positive comment about this......

How many active users on MyBB? Can't one of the bigger boys start something like a campaign against the high costs etc?

Makes no sense!

This was just a >policy< directive - simply giving direction to ICASA. Why on earth withdraw it?

Can someone in the industry make a Freedom of Information request as to why this was done? Is the guy saying he did not apply his mind before gazzetting this?

The article is a little weak IMO. It doesn't offer any evidence of investigation having taken place as to why the policy directive was withdrawn. So virtually all the above comment is pure speculation, leaving Mybb to look like a moangat site as apposed to a site representing the informed section of the online community.

I wish we had more info. There must be a plausible reason. Perhaps it cannot be revealed as the information is sensitive.
This must be a good thing.

Other than say the obvious, wtf does this mean any how...

I'll say this reducing interconnect costs is easy .. stop using cellphones !
That will send a clear message to all of the parties concerned.
