Intermittent packet loss

Hi

I've been tearing my hair out for about a month now with an intermittent connection problem that I just can't seem to sort out. Seems to be packet loss on the first hop according to Pingplotter. Telkom says nothing is wrong with the line (for what that's worth) and my ISP doesn't seem to know either. Goes on for hours at a time on most days and results in huge latency while gaming etc. I've tried changing the POTS filter, removing fax and phone and changing routers with no change. Here is a Pingplotter graph of what is happening:

Could anyone help?
 
Looks Like IS is dropping some packets. Are you testing this with no other computers or applications(downloads) using you internet connection?
Seems like you are going fine on the SAIX part of the network. IS is Most probably queuing you to your bandwidth limit.
Which ADSL line speed do you have and what type of account?
 
4MB uncapped. Nothing else is running. I get the same problem pinging local sites as well as international.

I'm having similar issues with my AxxessLite account - definitely packet loss and speeds do not generally exceed 120kb/s. Bought a shaped WebAfrica account and everything works perfectly. Try a non-IS account and see if that makes a difference? Good luck :)
 
I am def experiencing packet loss on the IS network to international (been happening for about a week now). No mention of it on myBB, its like no one else is noticing this ...

I do apologize for the delay and inconveniences caused. We have picked up a possible problem with intermittent international connectivity which has been escalated to our upstream providers who are investigating.

Kindly allow a bit more time as the matter is being attended to.
 
Also having a lot of problems with intermittent packet loss. Personally I keep getting disconnected from Xbox LIVE, but my line isn't dropping. And I'm having problems connecting to my IS hosted servers from my SAIX account - high latency and packet loss once it gets onto the IS network. Running similar tests to servers on Webafrica, SAIX and MTN Business reveal no problems at all though.
