Does anyone recall the days of www.wingsmobile.co.za? I see they are no longer running, but back in 2000 you could order a SIM card for a foreign country & have it delivered to your door in advance. Very neat. I recently checked email twice on my Vodacom 3G card in Europe - the cost? R12,000 !
Since our local operators international roaming is obviously way off, it would be fabulous if one could pre-order a mobile broadband service before leaving SA, for the destination country of your choice.
Or does something like this already exist?
