Internet Explorer 7 Final Released Today

Microsoft has released the final build of IE7 today to customers, with the company expected to push the build by automatic updates on 1st November.

probably but i'm sure you'll be able to exclude the IE7 update from the windows update site

I didn't like it after using it (rc1) for about 2 weeks. Changed back to ie6 and discovered how accustomed to ie7 I had become and changed right back. ie7 is far smoother. Tabbed browsing is great. I only had to get used to where everything is.

Only critical updates are installed automatically. I highly doubt MS will push IE7 as a Critical Update through Windows Update...

If they do, there's going to be panic in offices around the world. The changes will be seriously beyond the change-capacities of some of the people in this office.

Does this mean IE6 will slowly become more secure as everyone focuses in IE7? I cant use IE7 cause I cant move favorites and whatever to where I want them and there is all this empty screen space...

Yes.

Go to Tools > Internet Options > General > Tabs > Click on Settings

and untick 'Enable Tabbed Browsing'.

That's it.

*I must admit, I'm enjoying surfing the web with Tabbed browsing. Very cool.
