Try reading that sentence again...Pretty sure you left something out.

How is it hypocritical for me to say that people constantly dismiss IE as insecure and slow without proof? I never said a bad word about FF or any other browser.

I just hate the fact that every post about IE is full of comments stating that IE sucks. The fact is that IE8 is still in beta which means it is not finished yet. Why would you be surprised that it has flaws?

I use browsers to enable me to get stuff done. I could care less if it was coded by Daffy Duck. I think that the vast majority of people fall into this category.

None of the browser are 100% secure. None of them are without bugs. The fact is that 99% of hackers (Ethical and unethical) focus their attention on breaking IE.

It also depends on what your definition of 'tech savy' is. I'd say a good % of users use the default browser. Why should they switch unless mainstream media makes it out to be a big deal to switch. It's not like people who join the internet start searching for "safest web browser" and discover that IE is quite unsafe.

BTW BEST BROWSER EVER Netscape ver 1.xx Back in 1995!

Netscape Navigator 3 Gold was my favourite. Push technology FTW.
