Interstellar

They were kind of in dire straits, and didn't have the luxury to choose who they wanted. Those are the experts that are left.
The ship's computer and robot are super intelligent. You just tell them what to do. The computer will even tell you if you do something wrong. Surely betting the future of mankind on one women's unproven womb is risky.

They weren't betting anything on her womb. They were betting on the population bomb they took along.

Surely she as the biologist would have known what she took and that they were the last hope of humanity and wouldn't be going back. Yet she acts all surprised

No... There was always Plan A and B. A being taking the whole base/ship from earth, and B being the population bomb. Both options were available to them from the outset, although they were hoping to implement A.

Circumstances (Mann's betrayal) led to only B being feasible. Fortunately, Coop was able to provide the answer Murph needed to sort out the problem that the elder Prof. Brand couldn't figure out (by going into the black hole and TARS collecting the quantum data they needed), thus leading to Plan A being possible again.

She was surprised because they found out Prof. Brand actually knew Plan A was never going to work and that Plan B was going to be the final hope.

Yeah, it was brilliant! Dem huge waves  So huge, man.

Yeah, unreal!! Could do some serious big wave surfing on Millers planet. But an hour on Millers planet = 7 years on planet earth, fck me but that just freaked me out more than the waves!!!!!

By the time he was off Millers planet his 10 year old daughter was 33!!!!

What baffled me was the dude on the station having to wait 20 years for them to get back.
Can't imaging what he went through.

Yeah, the relative time concept was a mind bender of note!!! Incredibly scary concept! He must have hibernated for most of that 20 years. He would have gone mad and/or run out of supplies long before they got back...

We was awake when they got back which means he could've spent a significant amount of time awake.

This really was a cool movie.
Watched it on IMAX when it was released.
Would love to see Interstellar 2. The ending hinted at it

Great movie, one of the better ones I've seen but has no rewatch value to me. Tried to watch it the other day and got extremely bored :(

I actually might find it beneficial to watch a 2nd time with subtitles on. I found myself having to rewind for clarity on some of the points/action.

That's the thinking I had went I sat to watch it a second time, it really drags the 2nd time round IMHO.

Not for me, watched it alone at the movies then again with the kids at home. Rewatching it does actually makes things clearer as the dialog gets swamped by the music in some places.

I know it was intentional but seems to have been a doff decision to have the music so loud.

Mind fck of note!
