iOS 16 Features by Model

I can’t seem to update any apps after upgrading to IOS16.
I get an error with Apple Media Services.
Anyone else with the same issue?

How and why do you need to update apps?
Aren’t they always up to date?

What piece of hardware prevents older phones getting crash detection?

I love the feature in photos where you can highlight then cut and paste a figure or whatever into a message, but do you think it will extend to pasting into another photo or WhatsApp etc. It's quite limited in it's present form.

You can just copy it to anything.

It’s a normal copy and paste.

Lots of apps have major updates (e.g Pocket Casts has an update to fix an AirPods and playback issue with iOS 16)

Updates seem to be working now though for me

If you can't be helpful don't comment.

You have got a huge issue.

It’s a genuine question that I’m trying to replicate and see if I can update my apps. However, as all my apps are updated (ie auto update) I can’t.

I’m genuinely asking how it can be replicated and how apps can be updated/versions checked if as auto update is on

Please could you explain the logic behind these questions.

I really want to avoid calling you an idiot unnecessarily and maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking.

Post above.

It’s a genuine question as my assumption is that most people are on auto update and most apps are already updated. It’s something I wanted to replicate to see if I had the same issue - but my apps are (to my knowledge) all updated

update completed on iOS 16. Anyone else having issues updating apps via the App Store now? It asks me to agree to some policies, but then gives an error after agreeing.
I had the same issue after updating wife's phone, signing in \ out, reviewing her store profile, re-entering her password etc didn't fix it.
A workaround that seemed to work was to update each of the pending apps one at a time, cancelling whenever an update triggered the T&C notice and then updating that particular app later. Eventually got all pending updates through. It doesn't seem like it was an iOS 16 issue either because her iPad which was still running 15.x was also doing it.

Auto update just means that apps update by themselves periodically, it can take a few days for that to happen, but you can obviously check for updates manually as well.

As to why you’d want to do it manually on iOS day, sometimes there will be app features specific to the new version of iOS released on the same day, that you want to get your hands on ASAP. Example, Lock Screen widgets for iOS 16.
