Hello,

got uncapped 4mb/s with a DGN2000 (just bought it now)...
the main reason i got uncapped was so i could play online and do some light downloads without ever needing to worry about cap, but other people in my family are not so nice :)

for example, my one sibbling sets 50 torrents in a Queue and then just leaves his laptop on his bed, with the charger in, downloading torrents 24/7 and i want to know how i can use IP QoS to limit the torrents to like 5kb/s whenever i start gaming.

anyone know how i can do this? is it possible? can the DGN2000 do it? anyone know some tutorials?

In all honesty there is no simple answer to this. Keep in mind that you essentially no control over inbound traffic coming from your ISP and that is essentially what you want to control.

Best thing you could do is block all local computers except your own.

You should be able to control your QoS through your router setup page, I presume you have already logged into http://192.168.1.1

To edit your QoS settings on the DGN2000 you will need to have the latest firmware version if not already 1.1.8.0. else you won't see it. You can give priority to certain applications or using a MAC address.

If you need to update the firmware see: Firmware Update and go from there, also be sure to read through your documentation
