iPad 2 disadvantages

Does anyone know about an app on the IPAD that allows you to point the camera at the stars and when see, on screen, what the names of the stars or constellations are, please?
 
It's amazing how small things can make a huge difference. Thumb keyboards, first on the SGT10.1 and now also on the iPad, makes such a difference. Typing used to be a two index finger affair, but now I can lie flat on my back in bed and type this post using two thumbs ... :D

Well tranfering data like that is piracy, if you are planning on using it to copy content all over the show you might aswell jealbreak it and you won't have this issue. There are ways around all the rules apple enforces on their devices.

You call it piracy I call it sharing, I did that even back in 80's. You never heard of sharing an LP/DVD/Tape/Book to a friend? But lets not start the whole piracy war as its been done to death now as everyone has their view.

On the Subject of Jailbreak yes you can copy media onto the device to take to someone so you have to do it with intent. The problem is that you still have issues with consuming the media on the device itself, as iOS applications dont like sharing between each other. Example If you download music and I am referring to legal bought mp3s outside of iTunes, you can not simply add them to your existing playlists without visiting a PC.

As to why I do that, I prefer to support musicians directly instead of giving money to the middle man.
 
Just out of curiosity:

I have a media player with a 2TB HDD. The media player shares the drive on my wifi network.

I am able to assess all the files on it from anywhere in the home from my android tablet. I am able to open, copy and move files.

Can the iPad do this?
 
Also getting the iPad 2 from FNB :) never ever owned a apple touch screen product so im quite intriuged. With regards to the US app store, see'ing that it has 10x the apps the SA store has, how do us saffers get a US itunes account and pay for the apps?

google how to register a free account, then buy vouchers from one of many sites. frankly i like evopoints but there are many
 
The more I read about Apple products, the more I wonder how they sell in the millions!

Ag no man don't be silly i was referring to any instance where you want to copy YOUR LEGALLY BOUGHT movie or song to any other device be it a laptop, PC, media player or anything really to enjoy at your convenience whether it be on a bigger screen, projector, friends house or with the kids at a party.

Apple has some serious brain washing going on if their users believe that to be piracy! Does apple want you to buy the same song or movie on every device you own only to be consumed on that specific device for your eyes only? :confused: :wtf:

Btw i'm not making these things up i have apple devices which i never use cause they're such a burden.

... or even your own photos!

I've decided I'll keep it as it's cheap and I won't have cash to buy another tablet soon, so an iPad will have to do for now. I'll upgrade to something decent in a year hopefully

I don't even look at Apple, iTunes just destroys the experience.

Much more fun, many brands to look at :D

Using Sony Arc Phone & Motorola Xoom tablet at the moment.
