I have another question ... how do I use a PDF on my iPad?![]()
I like the PDF on my bookshelf
Can I download on the device itself?
Yes you can, once the pdf is downloaded and open in the browser, you can click on the action button to choose to open it in iBooks.I like the PDF on my bookshelf

Please help.
I have a microsim with 3g in the iPad, I also have a wireless network at home. Everytime I leave home i have to switch wireless off, so I can connect through 3G. Is there anyway that i can still use 3g connectivity if in wireless range of my router and having wireless set to ON?
thanks!
I'd say that as well - but every Google links says it's the local networks and they all say 'speak to your network about it'
That's all I'm trying to do and get a final answer - and the call centre won't help in this case. I was hoping Jannie could maybe shed some light.
I'll have to email him as the Vodacom section is too limited nowadays to post or get feedback
Am pretty sure MyBB is already looking into it in any case
The question was never whether the limit was applied and implemented by Vodacom, rather whether Vodacom as recognized iPhone network provider could query this with Apple. The 20MB limit is not a network limit.
Remember, according to you'all, we're evil and thus would prefer for you to do all your downloads over 3G only. On MyMeg-0
Here's my workaround - but you need a hotspot-cabable phone.
1. Put a data bundle on your phone contract.
2. Get a data-SIM for the iPad.
3. Attach iPad to phone hotspot.
4. You can now download anything over 3G and it still uses the same data bundle you would've used in the iPad.
5. You've successfully pulled an 'Apple' on Apple.![]()

FYI A few of us have logged this limitation / bug directly with Apple -- either as a feature request or as an developer related bug.
In my bug request I asked that the restriction be moved from a device restriction to a setting that the network provider can control I.e. those networks that require the limitation can apply it and those that don't can disable it.
Can you please check if it is possible to query from your side i.e. Via Vodacom/Vodafone's relationship with Apple?Agree it should be user-configurable.
