iPad 3 announcement expected in January

At this rate we will see the iPad 6 and iPhone 9s announced before the end of 2012.

Getting a bit ridiculous!

Get over yourself, they do a new iPad and iPhone every year. Just like the bump the iMacs, Macbooks, iPods and all their other lines.
 
On a side note, apple don't present at macworld, so i doubt they will be releasing anything there. They might do their own release around the same time, if the devices are ready.

I am so over myself that I even own a iPad2. And I am extremely happy with it.

But the fact remains. Apple upgrades one or two things on their current models every few months. Then brand it as a brand new model and the best thing since sliced bread!

And we all know it works like a bomb for them! Other manufacturers are probably so so jealous!

Wait, the other OS people are forever complaining that Apple only release a phone once a year? And someone complained that the iPad "infrequent" release makes it 2 years behind the current droid tablets. So what do they want?
 
I very much doubt that - Apple hasn't presented at MacWorld since 2009. If a new iPad is coming it will be announced at the Apple Campus, methinks.
 
I don't see the iPad3 being launched in Jan either. Everyone else in the know seems to think this report isn't very credible.
 
I really doubt that the new screen resolution will be 1,536 x 2,048 on a 9.7" device. I can see Apple having an egg on their face if this turns out to not be true.

Why would Apple have egg on their face? This was just an internet rumour - surely they can't be blamed for baseless rumours?

Apple doesn't do incremental mid-cycle updates on their iOS mobile devices in fact they tend to stick to a fairly predictable 12 month release cycle (although the iPhone4s was announced far later than usual).

That rumour has spread to every corner of the world. So the best thing for Apple to do would be to at least tell everyone it's not true. If they keep quiet about it then everyone would assume the rumour is true. I can see a lot of people raging whether it's Apples fault or not.

There are ALWAYS rumours flying around about upcoming Apple products. In the past Apple hasn't paid them much attention.

In the past such rumours weren't posted on credible sites like mybb. If it is on sites like mybb or other respected hardware sites then everyone assumes the rumours to be true.
 
People rage all the time whether they right or wrong.

Apple could release the ipad 3 on Jan 27 for a lower price than the ipad 2 and people would still rage.
