Just pre ordered on iStore Tried the first time only to get declined right after the 3D secure got a phone call immediately from Absa asking me what i'm busy doing on iStore

Bit the bullet and took the 12 Pro Max 256Gb Graphite. Really do hope the delivery process is quick and seamless.

Would have honestly prefer them to allow customers to just collect the device on the 18th at a store don't trust these couriers always delivering late.

It says under my pre orders. Not certain if anyone else pre ordered yet?

On that note, I hope MTN quickly support the 12's for eSIM and that it doesnt take ages for them to sort it out

Unless I just don't know where to find it, it seems like on Vodacom the overall deals are poor:

You have to choose between 1GB "Smart Data" - which doesn't seem so smart to me since 1GB isn't much and out of bundle data R490/GB I believe?

Or, 10, 25, 100GB packages - which are expensive and a lot of data.

Plus, 3 year contracts.

If you want the Blue then only the 1GB "Smart Data" for you.

So I went to Telkom on FreeMe 3. Its 2GB really. I see you get 0.5GB each for WhatsApp and Youtube, but I guess the sting in the tail is that you need to top those separately and for me I'm at home if I'm looking at YouTube.

If I can't deal with the network I'll just put a Vodacom SIM in with full choice to pick the right one for me.

We'll see.

I have a contract due for renewal in Feb, going to grab the Mini then. Ordered the Pro Max last night. Keen to checkout the mini and how it feels. then my wife will either get the Pro Max or Mini, depending on how I feel about it

No I ordered through Vodacom last night, with the "logic" being, for some reason, if he cant hook me up, then I still have an order placed.

Based on the devices being no longer listed on their site, I guess I couldn't of ordered it if they didn't have stock? So am I guaranteed to get it next Friday? :/

Logically that makes sense to me. They had X number available on backend for pre-order, you were assigned one of those, now they've closed the pre-orders because quota has been maxed.
