iPhone 15 Rumours & Release Date

Anyone do a geekbench on 17.02 and then on 17.03 ?… appears people have been getting a performance boost on the new update!? I did the update and did not try geekbench on 17.02

I used a different approach this time around updating on my 13Pro, downloaded the full IPSW , used the update feature in Finder , all my Settings and Data was preserved. Something like a fresh install without having to restore from a backup.

Hmm, is this a verified way of doing a ‘factory reset’ without losing your Settings and Data?

Do you need a developer account to do this?

Yup

download the correct IPSW for your device from http://ipsw.me. On MacOS, plug your phone to your computer and use finder.
Select your phone and hold option and click on
"check for update". Now select the file your download. Basically does a full update without losing any data.

Actually this way of flashing seems to go faster than a OTA besides the time taken to download the full IPSW file.

Interesting, I did the exact same thing with my i11, the IPSW file in my case was 7gb odd.

DL'ed seamless & updated seamless, a far quicker process than OTA for obvious reasons.

Thanks - going to try this now.
